About this guide
Kitzbühel's ski area links Kitzbühel, Reith, Aurach and Jochberg with 233 km of pistes and 58 lifts. The Hahnenkammbahn leaves from the edge of the old town, under ten minutes' walk from the centre. On the Hahnenkamm, the Streif downhill drops 860 m over 3,312 m, with gradients up to 85 %. The 87th Hahnenkamm races run from 18 to 24 January 2027.
Outside the races, the Streif family run (piste 21) follows the race course in several places, past the Mausefalle and the Hausbergkante. In town, the Liebfrauenkirche dates from the 14th century, and the Museum Kitzbühel tells the town's story from the Bronze Age to winter sport.

Winter 2026/27, snow permitting: Resterkogel from 6 November 2026, Hahnenkamm from 21 November; whole area linked 11 December 2026 – 29 March 2027; finale on Hahnenkamm, Fleckalm and Pengelstein until 4 April 2027.

By train to Kitzbühel Hahnenkamm, next to the Hahnenkammbahn; from Innsbruck 1 h 10 with a change in Wörgl.

Après-ski at The Londoner in the old town, the Pavillon and the Legenden Café by the Hahnenkammbahn, and the Sonnenrast on the piste near the Fleckalmbahn.
