Starting from the charming mountain village of Malbun (1,600m), this well-marked trail follows the valley floor, passing traditional alpine huts, crossing crystal-clear mountain streams, and offering constant views of the surrounding peaks.
Highlights include the beautiful Pfälzersee mountain lake - perfect for a picnic lunch - and plenty of opportunities to spot alpine wildlife like marmots and chamois. The trail is mostly flat with just gentle inclines, making it accessible for children and seniors.
In summer, the valley is covered in wildflowers. In early autumn, you might see traditional alpine farming activities. The route takes about 3 hours at a leisurely pace, with plenty of spots to stop, rest, and enjoy the mountain atmosphere.
