About this guide
St. Moritz lies on Lake St. Moritz in the Upper Engadine. From Punt Muragl a funicular climbs to Muottas Muragl at 2,456 m, with a hotel, a panoramic restaurant, the Philosophers' Path and the Senda d'Inspiraziun art trail; from St. Moritz Dorf a funicular runs via Chantarella to Corviglia.
The tourism board's walk around Lake St. Moritz starts at the station and follows the shore, partly on paved roads and partly on well-kept paths. It is flat apart from short ramps at the bridges, suitable for strollers, and can be walked in winter too.

- Season
Lake walk year-round. Muottas Muragl funicular 6 June – 25 October 2026. Corviglia funicular closed for maintenance until 27 November 2026.
- Getting there
Rhaetian Railway to St. Moritz station, where the walk starts; or the Engadin Bus to the Katholische Kirche stop.
- Winter
The lake walk stays open. On the frozen lake: the Snow Polo World Cup (22–24 January 2027) and White Turf horse racing (7, 14 and 21 February 2027).
