About the route

The winter route starts at the First top station: a short, steep climb to the Gummihütte, then gentle ups and downs to the Bachalpsee. Across the valley you see the Wetterhorn, Schreckhorn and Finsteraarhorn. Jungfrau Region Tourismus rates it medium; after snowfall the ground can be soft and harder going, so wear winter shoes with non-slip soles.
